The Armada Technologies Pro300™ Residential Wire and Valve Locator is a compact, budget-friendly solution for contractors and homeowners who need to locate residential sprinkler wires, irrigation solenoids, landscape lighting wiring, and invisible fence cables. Designed for shorter underground wire runs, the Pro300 delivers the essential locating capabilities of larger professional systems in a simpler, more economical package.
The Pro300 uses a 2 kHz null-tracking signal to help technicians follow buried wiring and locate connected solenoids and valves. Its transmitter and receiver work together to send and detect the locating signal, while the receiver’s audible tone and adjustable volume make it easy to follow the wire’s path.
Setup takes less than a minute: connect the transmitter to the wire being traced, connect it to the included ground stake, confirm a good ground using the ground-quality LED, and follow the receiver’s signal. The detachable antenna adds convenience for transport and storage, while the transmitter’s automatic shut-off helps conserve battery life.
With a lower power output designed around smaller residential jobs, the Pro300 delivers practical wire and valve locating performance without the cost or complexity of a larger commercial locator.

The Pro300 was designed for contractors who primarily work on residential sprinkler systems and shorter underground wire runs and don’t necessarily need the extended range and higher power of a full-size commercial locator.
Like the larger Pro700™ and Pro800D™ systems, the Pro300 uses a transmitter and receiver combination. The transmitter places a 2 kHz locating signal onto the target wire, while the handheld receiver detects the signal so the technician can follow the buried wire’s path.
The Pro300 uses null tracking, which helps the technician follow and identify the underground wire. An adjustable receiver volume makes it easy to monitor the locating tone, while the ground-quality LED provides quick confirmation that the transmitter has established a suitable ground connection.
The system’s lower power output is intentionally matched to shorter residential applications, helping keep the unit compact and affordable. The result is a practical locator for everyday sprinkler and landscape service work without paying for features and power intended for larger installations.
